Okay i have a high-powered stereo system in my car and have had it for about a year and a half now and not one problem out of it until lately when i turn it up to volume 23 or so my stereo acts like my cd player is skipping but is not its not and it is not shutting down completely and the face of the cd player is staying on and not blinkin either or having any power effects in the car but its not the bass amp and is not the other amp i have for mids and highs nor is it any of the speakers what i am wondering if it could be the cd player and if maybe their could be a short in it or the rca cables i have got a red-top 1000 cold cranking amp battery on my car good sized alternator and it is only doing this when i turn my sound system up loud i have all 1/0 gauge wiring as well but have two caps installed as well…but i am wondering what could the problem be when my sound system has played great at maximum volume for a year and a half is it the cd player?….i mean its mounted solid as well none of the amps are going into any kind of protect mode either and it is only doing it when the bass is on so what could it be? i havent made any changes to the system all year…..please help me out.

And its weird also it only does it when the bass knocks and the cd is not skipping you can tell a difference between a cd skipping the music stop playing all together for a second or so their are no power or equipment issues unless it is to do with the headunit itself everything is grounded solidly and their is not road noise whatsoever and the alt. is in great shape and keep in mind when i turn my stereo up to volume 22 the whole front windshield of my car starts pounding but i have been able to turn my stereo up to like voume 29 all year long with no problems until now thats why i am wondering if it is a head unit problem its not a wiring issue at all i have double checked everything and answer this a buddy of mines amp was playing and the ground was not connected how does that happen?>
