Car sound system question.?

I have a 99 Chrysler Sebring convertible with all stock speakers and what not.
I want to get a sub for my trunk to add some thump and an amp to make it louder.

My car has stock speakers, i’m not sure what exact model they are but there are Infinity speakers in the door panels and on the back panels. If i get an amp to make the car louder (I’m not going for earth shaking sound here) would that blow the speakers?
If so, do i need new speakers that are the same size that is made for what the amp can handle?
