**How can I fix the ground noise and whine from my car stereo system?**?

About 4 months ago I installed a sound system on a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. about 2 weeks ago I was driving down the street and the whole system started making static noise and whining. when I hit the gas pedal I hear the noise getting louder. I know its not the stereo because i put the volume all the way down and the noise doesn’t die. Does anyone know what it could be?
