How do i find out how many watts my car stereo system puts out? Its a stock deck…?

2002 pontiac grand am, I can’t seem to find out exactly how many watts and rms watts it puts out?
Can i put 6×9 speakers in the back of my car that put out 40 RMS watts, ot would it be better to go higher, or lower?
