How should I power 6×9 Infinity kappa 692.9i car speakers?
I’m about to get a new car and I want a quality sound system. I’m new to car audio systems so please, bear with me here. I’ve done some research and I’m having trouble understanding how all this works. I don’t want to blow my new speakers (when I get them) and I don’t want it to sound like crap. I want the quality of the sound to be good with the deepest bass possible. How loud it will be isn’t an issue here, I don’t need my neighbor’s ass to vibrate from my bass when I drive by. I just want Deep bass, good sound, and affordability (under 300 dollars). Anyways what I’ve concluded is that there are 2 ways I can go about doing this, I can get a dashboard mounted head unit/stereo to power the 6×9s I want to get or an amp. The speaker’s frequencies run at 35 – 25,000 Hz, the sensitivity level is at 96 dB’s and the RMS wattage is at 110. From the research I’ve done, I’m confused. Will the high sensitivty rating compensate for a low wattage power source (i.e. a new stereo) or will I still need an amp that can run at 110 RMS watts? Like I said before, I don’t need it be loud. I just want the bass to be deep and for the sound quality to be good. If any of you know how I can accomplish this whether you know of other speakers that will provide the deep bass I require and wont need an amp or perhaps a better choice in speakers for what I am looking for I would really appreciate it. ANY advice on how I can get an affordable, quality sound system with deep bass would be appreciated actually..
