In my Chrysler Sebring 1998 JXI Convertible LE I have an factory Infinity Sound System, AMP + 4 6×9 Speakers and 2 Tweeters.
My drivers side one is missing (I just bought this car), and the deck it came with that runs the entire thing is BROKEN (CD player doesn’t work)
The speakers BEAT, like I went out and bought replacements for the fronts, you get 2 might as well replace both, and the 98 Infinity’s BLEW them up… that much better, So I’m trying to find comparable 6×9’s that are relatively inexpensive as I haven’t gotten paid yet.
Questions:
I bought a deck at the store, did this stuff on another car but became complicated :
The deck detected sound but wouldnt play music, took it up to Audio Shop – says its an infinty sound system with Infinity Wiring – need to scrap it all (meaning new wiring done throughout, they told me without even looking at my car) . I’m not looking at a complete reinvestment : I need to know what I can get as far as decks (*my old one sucks, cd player doesnt work) and a comparable yet cheap front 6×9’s. Any suggestions and is what the audio guy saying true? Do I need to rewire to upgrade the system and do I need the same old deck or can I get a new one? If I can which ones? Etc.? Comparable Speakers Would Also Be Nice Thank You!
