My stereo system contans one Pioneer Head unit concted to one pair of 7inc. speakers and a pair of 6 1/2 in componet sytem. Those speakers are powerd by the pioneer head unit (They dont humm at all). Then I have 2 pioneer 6*9 powerd by a 400 watt amp. The 6*9 are the ones that humm. Then I have one Alpine Type R 12 powerd by a 2,000 watt amp. The 12 inc. sub dose not humm. Every thing sounds great but my 6*9. This is my 1996 Z28 camaro. I have a Optimo Red Top Battery. Please help stop the nasty humming! Thank you for your time.

For a pretty decent system for a minivan, what would be everything I need to get. I’m trying to get that perfect sound without blasting the kids out the car. Something that would make you feel like your in the club and thats not 00.00.

Does a car audio system use more gas?

Im currently running 3 amps for my sound system in my car that total around 2k watts of power. Ever since it’s been in it’s always on, how much more gas consumption do you think somthing like this could be having on my car?

Ok, I have a 1987 Porche 924S and am looking to improve the sound system. I don’t want to spend too much and am not looking into getting anything to extravagant. What I want is to improve the sound quality at the level it’s already at as well as give me the ability to crank up the sound without fear of braking anything. I was thinking of a couple of tweeters, woofers and probably a 10′ sub, but I’m not sure on anything from brand to size and would atleast like to have an idea of what I’m looking for before getting jipped at any audio stores.
