Question by Jared: How do I program my Alpine RUE-4187 remote to my car stereo?
I bought the car with the Alpine stereo in it, but the remote was not included and will not turn on without the remote. I just bought a new Alpine RUE-4187 remote on eBay (and yes I checked – it is the corresponding remote) and it won’t turn the system on. I’m wondering if anyone knows how to program the remote to an Alpine CD Player or where I can find a manual. Thanks.

Alpine remotes are NOT programmable. You either have one that doesn’t work or it’s not the right remote for the stereo. OR, simple mistake, the batteries are dead. Change the batteries and try again. If it still doesn’t work, you have a faulty remote or it’s the wrong remote.

What is the model of the radio? I may be able to help you find the right remote.
