Question by josh_36_wilson: Pioneer FH-P4000 car stereo system Problems?

check your power wire, if your power wire (red) has 12-volts . . . check your ground (black wire), make sure it is grounded via a wire screwed into the metal base of the stereo to some serious metal on the car under the dash (not a bracket but like the firewall/body) . . . if the ground is good, it probably isn’t worth screwing around with and just spring for another one with FREE installation TUNES are worth the cost eh

Question by chevybrat420: how to make a wire harness for a pioneer car stereo?
I have a pioneer DEH-P5200 car stereo and someone lost my wire harness. I want to make a new one cause to buy it is over $ 45.00. Can you help me?
Best answer:
Answer by bigdee_x you have to cut the harness out of your car and hard wire the “old school” way. very tedious and prepare yourself with a box of fuses.
wiring is usually marked or color coded. good luck!
or you could either buy a harness or get one from a salvage yard . save yourself a lot of time and headaches
by the way… the harness is not for your stereo , its for your cars make and model. you have to wire your stereo to the harness. the stereo doesn’t come with one.
this is a Pioneer KE-2323 SuperTuner Car Stereo that i have hooked up in my bedroom, I have it running off the AC adaptor that was to my portable DVD player but that broke, the speakers I have hooked to this radio I built, I know it doesnt look like it but I did, my friend gave me this radio because he got a new one, the video doesnt really show off the way it sounds it really sounds pretty good for something I build from scavenged parts the speakers themselves my friend gave me (not the same friend who gave me the radio) and the speaker cases i scavenged from an old magnavox boombox that my dad got at a yard sale for 25 CENTS the original speakers sucked so i modified the case to fit the new speakers, I still have the original speakers that came out of these cases im gonna use them in another project, a portable Amp, if you have any questions about this feel free to ask, thanks and enjoy the video Video Rating: 4 / 5
