With a gas generator to power in car stereo.?

question of dgonzales81 : With a gas generator to power the car radio .?
Ok, I go camping and tailgating, I would like to use my custom gas generator (Honda EU2000iA) to power my car stereo but do not want to run the car engine. Is there a cable or adapter that I can use to respond to the 12V car battery (Optima Yellow Top) with the gas generator may charge ciggarete by the lighter? Ok Doug W’s hte made the most sense. I can get the DC charging cable for my Honda http://www.steadypower.com/catalog/honda_gen_acc.php?category_id=333 and connect it to my battery. I do not believe in the power of my stereo system to the generator will, I just want my battery at a constant power to keep, so when I’m ready to go, I’m stuck not to start without electricity for my engine. Thanks to all !!!!! Best answer:

unless the generator is a 12 volt DC output would have on them. Not that there is not but it would be rare. I’ve never seen a gas-powered generator, portable announced anything but 120/240 volts AC seen.

on the manual of your head unit should say the watts rms…(continous power that a speaker can handle)…look at the watts rms and buy speakers that match those watts rms or buy bigger speakers…lets say that your head unit gives 20 watts rms per channel…(I) would buy speakers rated at 25-30 watts rms…that way there would be less distortion when you turn up the volume…and you won’t run the risk of blowing your speakers

Question by Vicky: The touch screen on my Power Acoustik car stereo does not work. Why and how do i fix it?
I have a Power Acoustik PTID-7350NR car stereo. Recently the touch screen has been acting weird. It freezes and it wont work or the buttons dont correspond with the touch. For example, I’ll touch the screen to push a button but instead it pushes the button on the bottom of the one i wanted to hit. Why does this occur? Is it possible it has a virus? (I play alot of music from my computer on it) How can I fix this problem?

Answer by Jake H
decks can’t get viruses, they just play music, sounds like the calibration is off, see if there is a calibration option somewhere
