Slowly but surely I am getting my factory stereo switched out. Here is what I currently have installed:
Two front door 4X6 Infinity Reference Speakers with tweeters
Two rear deck 6X9 Infinity Reference Speakers with adjustable tweeters
Two door post factory tweeters
Infinity 10" 1060W subwoofer (275 RMS)
Infinity 311a amp for sub (Crossed @ 311W RMS)
Factory Chev 4 channel amp for speakers (200W RMS)
At low to moderate volume the system sounds great, when I crank it 60% + I find the infinity speakers get distorted. I am not maxing out the speaker wattage and the sub works great.
I understand that this system will not give me a "big boom" and do not expect it to, but I think it should do a little more before distortion. I am wondering if its my factory amp doing this?
Its not the head unit.

I’m buying a 7" flip out screen and idk what i need for amps. my sound system consists of 2 180w 6 1/2 sony xplods in the front doors and 200w infinity 6 1/2 in the back doors. then i have a 2000 watt performance teknique amp and 2 12" kicker cvr in the back with a capacitor. so what is the lowest amps i can get on a deck?
Like when looking at an amp it says 50 watts max, 17 rms. Is that too little or what I have no idea
