Question by John S: What is the best car stereo system with Subwoofer, Box, Amp Combo for under 500$ .?
I have 500$ and have been searching the internet, and cant figure out what combination that I want. There are so many choices so i figured I would go to you guys, and see what you have to say, any info would be great, I am trying to find a happy medium between SPL & SQ and not really any walmart stuff. Thanks for everyone with a reply, its greatly appreciated.

assuming that your not going to be buying anything used… $ 500 total or under isn’t going to get you anything all that good. Box…$ 100 avg. speaker… $ 150 for a decent speaker. amp…300 for a half decent mono-block. That doesn’t include your wireing kit. and that’s only for a one woofer system. Get a second woofer and everything else goes up.

You can get an all in one unit for around the 500 mark. Bazooka, Infinity, MTX all make them.

If you want good quality sound and good SPL, your gonna need to spend money. In the world of speakers, you get what you pay for.
