The JBL GTO527 Speakers Blow The Doors Off The Competition
JBL has done it again! Their newly design GTO series speakers has enthusiast around the world boasting about the superior sound quality. During a recent interview, a spokesperson stated that the JBL GTO527 was designed using a cone that was significantly larger than their counterparts.
They were able to accomplish this by creating a unique round design along with a hi-roll surround. The new speaker design would allow much more bass output and an increase in the speaker’s efficiency.
The company has invested a substantial amount of revenue into their new design. Each woofer has been constructed using Polypropylene.
By using this substance to create the cone molding, it insures a consistent cone thickness as well as superior sound clarity. The material is lighter and more rigid which significantly decrease distortion and improve bass response.
The unique hi-roll rubber surrounds allows for the woofers greater range of movement, this means a longer X-max, which means a stronger bass output.
The built in tweeters complete this well constructed speaker, and is top-notch. The Mylar/titanium makes the tweeters stiff, light, and efficient. The tweeter is a part of a Unipoint design, which allows each tweeter to turn 350 degrees.
This unique feature allows your access to the tweeter for superior sound quality. Each Tweeter has its individual output level that can be adjusted from 0+ dB to an outstanding +3 dB.
The JBL GTO527 out of the box is a 2 way coaxial system, and it has two five and a quarter inch polypropylene woofers which includes rubber surrounds, as well as two rotating tweeters each with level controls, and they also have a built-in crossover.
Both speakers come with a stylish speaker coverings and all the mounting hardware necessary to install the speakers. The included mounting kit should work in most instances depending on the make and model of your vehicle.
If you find yourself in a unique situation, no need to panic simply go to any audio store and ask for a mounting kit. As soon as you have the speakers in your hands, you can easily tell that they are sturdy, and well manufactured. The woofers have heavy magnets and firm cones.
For those of you who are interested in the technical aspects the JBL GTO527 has a frequency response of 70 Hz-21kHz. The RMS is 2-45 W and 135 W peak power. Even without burn-in, the JBL GTO527 has superior sound as compared to its counterparts.
