What all do I need for a good car stereo system with a decent amount of bass for under $400?

I basically know absolutely nothing about car stereo systems and i live in a small town so I don’t have alot of options on where i buy my stuff because i live in kind of a small town…Wal-mart and radioshack are about the best places and I dont like buying things online…So if anyone could let me know what all i need to have good bass in my car for under 0 it would be greatly appreciated thanks
