Will this car audio system sound decent for a first timer?
Question by Robert Russell: Will this car audio system sound decent for a first timer?
I have a 94 camaro and I’m putting 2 Kicker 07C12-4 in a Ground Shaker NCM212 box in the back with a 500 watt rms Alpine MRP-M500 amplifer running them both. I will also be using a Planet Audio PA20 capacitor.
Please give details on what I can expect out of this system such as quality, feeling, and durability.

Well it depend on what kind of comaro you have. If you have a convertible comaro then no the system will not sound good. If you have a hatch back then the sytem will sound better than you think. Even though those woofers are the cheapest woofers kicker makes, they are still descent woofers and in a hatch back its pretty much a big open box. So the woofers have plenty of air they can move to get the base you want. Now be aware that those woofers cant handle much power and that amp can potentially pop those woofers, even though its only 500watts, alpine amps put out a pure power will a low distortion ratio so, it seems like they put out more power than they say. So when you hook them up just have it adjusted the right way. I think you will be happy though, because that setup will sound better and have more base than you think. When your putting woofers in a hatch back car the sound and clarity is a alot of time amplified a time and a half more than what you think, because of the airspace.
